Grappling Hook

Taking aim, you fire the grappling hook and spin around the top of the totem pole.  "I'll have that balloon for you in an instant!" you say.

You start climbing the rope.  Halfway up, the pole begins to sway.  Three-quarters of the way up, you hear a disconcerting cracking sound, the pole lists, and then collapses onto a car.

And onto you.  You are crushed.
