You follow the trail for a ways, winding through the dark forest. You still hear nothing moving around you nor see any sign of any animals. The dampness closes in on you and the smell of decaying undergrowth fills your nostrils.
You come to a place where a tree has fallen across the trail, obscuring it for a moment. There are three potential directions that it might go from here, but it's hard for you to tell which of them is the trail that you were on.
One of them climbs a hill to where the forest begins to thin.
Another descends into a dank valley.
The third seems to go off into the undergrowth.
