Into the Valley

The ground descends into a narrow little valley here, but the trees part overhead to reveal one clear ray of sunshine that strikes a large crystalline formation sticking up out of the ground here.  A beam of light shoots across the narrow glade.  As you watch, a bumblebee buzzes through the light and suddenly swells up, growing to the size of a Volkswagon! 

You gasp in amazement.

The bee realizes your presence, gets angry, and stings you.

You die.
