You get up close to the creature and discover that it's not an animal at all - it's a robot! You can see where it has been damaged, the head destroyed by a large rock that smashed it. There's a door open atop the robot, and it has rusted in the humid air.
Climbing atop the robot, you look down into the control compartment to see if it is still active. There's a strange red light inside there, and peering closer, you see that it's a countdown.
3...2...1!
BOOM!
It blows up and destroys the entire cave.
And you. It destroys you, too.
Start a new day in Gravity Falls.
